PF4 Enhanced® and PF4 IgG Assay
Detect harmful antibodies that cause Heparin Induced Thrombocytopenia (HIT).
The PF4 family of products detect heparin-induced PF4 antibodies in multiple kit formats allowing the flexibility to detect either IgG/A/M or IgG specific antibodies.
Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia (HIT) is an adverse reaction after prolonged exposure to unfractionated or Low Molecular Weight Heparin. Work by Warkentin et al. suggests a direct link between the OD value, e.g. the titre of the Antibody, and the likelihood that a patient has HIT or could develop it if exposure to heparin is not discontinued.
- Reduce false positives with the heparin neutralisation step
- Assure confidence with high sensitivity
- ELISA assay using polyvinyl sulphonate (PVS)
