Immucor, Inc. (NASDAQ - BLUD) plays a vital role in making a blood transfusion safe. The company is the United States leader in the placement of fully automated instruments (Galileo and Galileo Echo) for the three markets it serves; hospital transfusion centers, blood donor centers, and large clinical laboratories.  The Galileo was cleared for marketing in the United States on April 26, 2004.   Results for this high volume system have been outstanding.    The Galileo Echo is a smaller volume system modeled after the Galileo, it was cleared for marketing in the United States on June 14, 2007.
